I like your interpretation of this still life - although you didn't add the biscuits, it is wonderful. Your muted colors are especially nice. Good work!

Jean, the colors came because Jen said something about loving orange and chocolate brown. I tinted the canvas a cool gray and then used a lot of payne's grey, burnt umber, burnt sienna and cad yellow. I would imagine that the grey underpainting made for what you call the muting.
